Job Title: Solution Architect — Node.js & API Architecture Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Solution Architect with expertise in Node.js and API-led architecture to design and deliver scalable, secure integration solutions. You’ll lead API strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive adoption of modern technologies in a cloud-native environment. Responsibilities Develop mobile applications within the Digital domain, ensuring alignment with business goals, security standards, and regulatory requirements. Architect, design, and oversee the development of RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and modern frameworks (Express.js, Nest.js). Define API-first architecture principles, standards, and best practices for scalability, performance, and reusability. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to translate requirements into API-driven solutions. Establish API lifecycle governance — design, versioning, documentation, testing, and deployment. Integrate APIs with enterprise systems, cloud services, and third-party platforms. Ensure robust authentication, authorization, and security practices (OAuth2, JWT, SAML, OpenID Connect). Guide teams on microservices architecture and event-driven integration patterns. Partner with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes orchestration. Conduct design reviews, performance optimization, and scalability testing. Mentor developers and provide architectural leadership across projects. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the FinTech sector. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 8 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in solution/technical architecture. Strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and relevant frameworks. Proven experience designing and implementing API-driven solutions at enterprise scale. Solid understanding of REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and asynchronous messaging. Hands-on experience with API gateways (Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, MuleSoft). Knowledge of cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL). Familiarity with observability tools (ELK, Datadog, Prometheus, New Relic). Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates judgment and flexibility – positively deals with shifting demand for time, priorities, and rapid change of environments. Takes an ownership approach to engineering and product outcomes. Cloud certification (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, or GCP Architect). Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Experience with API monetization and developer portals. BFSI, healthcare, or large-scale enterprise system background is a plus.
