The Operational Sustainability Associate will have an important role in supporting the team on a diverse range of initiatives. As an Operational Sustainability Associate within the CAO, you will strive to minimize the environmental footprint of our firm's operations and supply chain by supporting a diverse range of initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Research carbon credit and renewable energy markets, pricing, trends, and regulations to inform procurement strategies

Develop financial models and business cases for sustainability initiatives

Collaborate with internal teams (legal, finance) and external partners to facilitate contract negotiations and oversee ongoing reviews

Manage execution and delivery tracking of contracts for carbon credits, environmental attribute certificates, and related transactions

Prepare project materials, summary reports, and presentations to communicate project insights and updates

Monitor milestones and performance of existing agreements

Liaise with Controller and Finance teams to ensure alignment on monthly financials and variance analysis

Support supplier relationships, onboarding, and invoice processing

Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency in carbon credit and renewable energy sourcing

Contribute to broader corporate sustainability and decarbonization initiatives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

4+ years of professional experience

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field

Experience in sustainability or related areas, with knowledge of carbon markets, renewable energy, and corporate sustainability

Project management experience and the ability to lead and execute projects efficiently

Excellent Interpersonal communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams and partners

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating project materials, reports, and presentations
