We are currently seeking a
Regional Quality Director
to be based out of one of HDR’s Western U.S. offices. The Regional Quality Director will be part of the regional team representing the HDR Quality Office and the HDR Quality Management System (QMS) while partnering with regional/local operations and business group leadership in the West Region. You will serve as a business partner in building awareness, driving education on risk management practices, and assisting local areas as they develop processes and execute project work. Responsibilities
Provide support and direction for the QMS; serve as an active partner with HDR's Regional and Area Management Teams. Work with Regional and Area Management Teams, and other Regional Quality Directors to implement quality improvements of services, operations and processes within regions and companywide. Monitor and evaluate the culture of quality in the area of responsibility and participate in review activities as appropriate. Serve as regional advocate and resource for maintaining a strong quality culture and QMS. Support the organization's strategic plan and direction. Identify training needs and assist in the development of QMS related training. Support quality internal audits by addressing identified non-conformances and developing Corrective Action Plans with area leadership. Assess client experience to identify trends in service delivery. Collaborate with region and area leadership on strategic plans to improve culture of quality, staff engagement, employee awareness, client support, loss reduction, product quality, and workflow efficiencies. Support company quality initiatives, standards, practices, tool and process development, and lessons learned. Evaluate acquisition quality programs and facilitate transition to and training of the HDR QMS. Represent Regional/Area Management Team interests to the Quality Steering Committee; participate in policy, procedure, and standard development and review. Increase HDR recognition through professional society presentations, committee membership, and pursuit of national and customer quality awards. Preferred Qualifications
Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 QMS Fundamentals Ability to develop BI reports, PowerApps, and basic SQL/VBA (preferred; must be able to learn) Will report to the Deputy Quality Office Director for regional quality activities and QMS development and compliance Willingness to travel; travel more than 50% of the time Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage relationships with Regional Leadership, Area Leadership, and Quality Office teams Ability to work cooperatively across corporate functions, business groups, and operations to build culture and alignment Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred locations include California, Colorado, Washington, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho—with hub cities offering good airport access Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a professional, engineering, or closely related field Minimum of 8 years in a similar consulting environment and at least 5 years in Quality Management Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Access Understanding of analytic processes ASQ CMQ/OE or equivalent, or ability to obtain certification within one year Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is required What We Believe & Our Commitment
