Regional Quality Director - West Region

We are seeking a Regional Quality Director based in HDR's Western U.S. offices to partner with regional/local operations and leadership to promote risk management practices and QMS adoption across the region.

Responsibilities
Provide support and direction for the Quality Management System (QMS) and serve as a partner with HDR's Regional and Area Management Teams.
Collaborate with Regional and Area Management Teams and other Regional Quality Directors to implement quality improvements across regions and companywide.
Monitor and evaluate the culture of quality and participate in review activities as appropriate.
Act as a regional advocate and resource for maintaining a strong quality culture and QMS.
Support the organization’s strategic plan and direction.
Identify training needs and assist in the development of QMS-related training in partnership with the Quality Office Director and Learning and Organizational Development Director.
Support quality internal audits by addressing non-conformances and developing Corrective Action Plans with area leadership.
Assess client experience to identify trends in service delivery.
Collaborate with regional leadership to develop a strategic plan for improving quality culture, staff engagement, client support, and workflow efficiencies.
Contribute to the development and pursuit of company quality initiatives (standards, tools, processes, lessons learned).
Evaluate acquisition quality programs and facilitate transition to the HDR QMS as needed.
Represent Regional/Area Management Team interests to the Quality Steering Committee; participate in policy, procedure, and standard reviews.
Increase HDR recognition in business and industry through professional society engagements and quality awards.
Preferred Qualifications
Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 QMS Fundamentals
Ability to develop BI reports, PowerApps, and basic SQL/VBA (preferred; ability to learn)
Willingness to travel; travel more than 50% of the time
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage relationships with Regional Leadership, Area Leadership, and Quality Office teams
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred locations include California, Colorado, Washington, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a professional, engineering, or closely related field
8+ years in a similar consulting environment with at least 5 years in Quality Management
Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Access; understanding of analytics
ASQ CMQ/OE (or equivalent) or ability to obtain certification within one year
Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is essential
