*** This is a stipended position and is only open to current, eligible, BPS employees whose current job status allows them to participate in this opportunity.*** Overview

This is a stipended position offered to Boston Public School educators. The position will reside in the Teaching & Learning department, reporting to the Cluster Leader. The BPS Springboard Early Literacy Program Leader will be responsible for leading Springboard programming at their school to close the literacy gap by coaching educators and family members to help students meet grade-level reading standards. Responsibilities

Lead Springboard Collaborative programming at assigned school site (October 2025 - February 2026) Participate in virtual professional development sessions (October 6-10, 2025) - up to 6 hours Attend weekly meetings with Springboard team throughout program duration Coordinate student enrollment and achieve 100% student registration to target enrollment Lead weekly Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings for teaching staff Facilitate 4 family workshops and conduct family outreach (November-December 2025) Administer and score DIBELS assessments at program beginning and end Supervise teaching team and provide instructional coaching Maintain program data collection and analysis Organize Learning Celebration event (February 2026) Complete program evaluation and provide feedback Qualifications - Required

Currently a Boston Public Schools Employee Bachelor's Degree preferred Experience with grades K-3 Current authorization to work in the United States Strong communication and interpersonal skills Data-driven mindset and comfort with data systems Leadership and organizational skills A deeply held and unyielding belief in the overarching mission of public education Qualifications - Preferred

Experience with literacy instruction and family engagement Recommendation by School Administrator Union/Managerial/Residency Required

Stipend open to 1 BPS employee at each Springboard-participating school (residency not required) Compensation

Stipend - $59.39 per hour for a total of 88 hours ($5,226.32 total stipend paid at the conclusion of programming) Application request
