Responsibilities

Provide a high-quality speech pathology service to patients/clients and their carers to ensure optimal health outcomes, including assessment and intervention in a multidisciplinary setting.

Undertake designated non-clinical tasks to support service delivery, including clinical supervision, quality improvement activities, and administrative tasks.

Where you’ll be working The Senior Speech Pathologist workforce will be deployed to locations across NSW Health from two to 13 weeks to support short-term staffing needs. You will have the flexibility to work for short periods and may stay longer, working across a variety of health settings when deployed.

Targeted Questions

Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.

Detail your advanced clinical knowledge and experience in a relevant clinical setting/caseload.

Provide examples of high-quality communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with proven ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Current driver’s licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW, including overnight stays in regional/remote areas. Deployments will constitute the majority of time in the position.

This is an NSW Health Category A position. For more information, refer to the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases policy.
