Overview Tri-City United Soccer Club is seeking an energetic, organized, and community-minded leader to serve as our Recreational Soccer Program Director. This individual will oversee the planning, development, and administration of our large-scale youth recreational soccer program.

The Director will ensure that all players, coaches, referees, and families enjoy a positive, well-organized, and developmentally appropriate soccer experience. A key part of this role is a consistent presence at games, practices, and league events—building and maintaining strong relationships with players, families, coaches, referees, and community partners to create trust and connection throughout the club.

Key Responsibilities Program Administration

Oversee day-to-day operations of the youth recreational soccer program (hundreds of players across multiple divisions).

Manage and grow adult recreational leagues, including league scheduling, team registration, and communication.

Develop program calendars, schedules, and field assignments in coordination with club staff and facility partners.

Ensure compliance with league, state association, and governing body policies.

Maintain complete and current program documentation to support effective communication and program delivery

Player, Family & Community Engagement

Attend games, practices, and events on a frequent and consistent basis to support coaches, check in with families, and build relationships with participants.

Serve as the primary point of contact for recreational families and adult league participants.

Foster a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment that encourages lifelong enjoyment of the game.

Actively engage with community partners, schools, and local organizations to promote the program.

Coach & Volunteer Development

Recruit, train, and support volunteer coaches for youth teams.

Working with the Director of Development, provide appropriate resources, practice plans, and mentorship for coaches.

Coordinate referee assignments in partnership with referee assignors.

Develop recognition and retention strategies for volunteers.

Growth & Marketing

Actively promote recreational and adult programs to expand participation.

Support marketing initiatives, outreach campaigns, and community events.

Collaborate with club leadership to ensure consistent branding and communications.

Budget & Operations

Manage recreational program budgets.

Track registrations, payments, and financial reports in collaboration with the Executive Director.

Oversee equipment and uniform distribution for recreational players and teams.

Qualifications

Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trust and maintain relationships in person.

Experience managing or coordinating youth/adult sports or recreation programs.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed during peak seasons.

Proficiency with technology (Microsoft products, registration platforms, scheduling tools).

Commitment to the mission and values of Tri-City United Soccer Club.

Background in soccer as a player, coach, or administrator.

Experience with volunteer management.

Knowledge of league/tournament operations.

Bachelor's degree in recreation management, sports administration, education, or related field.
