Overview
Center for Change Orem is seeking a Full-time Business Office Director. Scheduling is business hours: 8:00-5:00pm, M-F (40 hours per week). This is an in-office, non-remote position. The Business Office Director role is directly involved in billing operations and supervision of the billing team. Experience with medical billing is crucial for this role. The Director reports to the CFO and ensures the efficient operation of the business office, including:
Ensuring the accurate, timely, and consistent performance of all functions related to patient accounting: patient account maintenance, billing, and collection management.
Hiring and supervising billing coordinators.
Ensuring the department adheres to all insurance, state/federal, and corporate guidelines.
Collaborating with other departments as needed to ensure the facility is able to collect payment for services rendered to residents.
Providing accurate and timely reporting of collections, denials, and accounts receivable statistics as needed by management.
Facilitating weekly AR meetings.
Training : Training for this position will be onsite at Copper Hills Youth Center at 5899 W Rivendell Drive, West Jordan, UT 84088 for the first 30 days. While your primary work location will be Center for Change Orem (1790 N State Street, Orem UT), you must be willing to commute to Copper Hills Youth Center once per week after initial training. About Center for Change : Center for Change is a 60-bed healthcare facility dedicated to helping individuals recover from eating disorders, including anorexia and bulimia. The Center is recognized for its programs, progressive outlook, and contributions to research and treatment in the field of eating disorders. Salary $75,000-$90,000, dependent upon experience. Medical billing experience (3-5 years).
Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s Degree Preferred.
Time management: flexible and able to assess the department’s priorities daily. Able to complete tasks accurately and timely within tight timeframes and meet attendance guidelines.
Communication (including written) and analytical skills: able to work as a positive team member and compose professional documentation/appeals with data-driven justifications.
Proficient with Excel, Word, and computers.
Basic understanding of medical terminology, insurance terminology, and billing standards; experience with health insurance billing/collection is highly preferred.
All Center for Change staff must be able to pass a criminal history background check.
