Responsibilities
Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, financial oversight, and delivery of mechanical/electrical systems for data center environments. Serve as the main point of contact for enterprise clients, coordinating regular updates and maintaining high satisfaction throughout the project. Oversee all project-related financials, including forecasting, billing, collections, and cost estimation. Proactively identify cost variances and recommend corrective action. Guide and mentor Project Engineers and Field Technicians. Direct daily activities and allocate resources to align with project milestones. Ensure adherence to project scope while managing scope creep through formal change orders. Manage third-party relationships, ensuring work meets specifications and project deadlines. Resolve any contractual or performance issues. Participate in on-site assessments, oversee upgrades or system optimization, and troubleshoot issues related to HVAC, building automation, and low-voltage systems. Translate technical solutions into digestible information for executives, stakeholders, and team members. Qualifications
5+ years of experience managing MEP, HVAC, or building automation projects in mission-critical environments (data centers or similar facilities). Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and interface effectively with customers, technicians, and executives. Demonstrated success in overseeing multi-million-dollar construction and retrofit projects from design through commissioning. Strong knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting tools. Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field preferred (equivalent experience accepted).
