Overview
Technical Project Manager to oversee highly technical programs from concept through production in a pioneering and innovation-focused product development firm. This role suits a dynamic, hands-on project management professional with a background in manufacturing or industrial product development, especially within complex, low-volume, high-mix environments. You will collaborate across engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
Lead the full lifecycle of multiple concurrent development projects, ensuring milestones are met from ideation through to scaled production. Serve as the central liaison between customers and internal teams, translating technical needs and ensuring alignment across stakeholders. Develop and manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts; proactively manage risks and ensure corrective action plans are in place. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across design, manufacturing, and procurement teams to meet performance and delivery goals. Own project documentation and reporting, providing real-time updates on cost, schedule, and performance KPIs. Ensure efficient transition of products into production, coordinating with operations and supply chain teams to meet go-live expectations. Support organizational growth through continuous improvement initiatives, driving adoption of project management best practices and systems. Contribute to strategic planning and cross-border team coordination, including support for international operations and remote teams. Requirements / Qualifications
5+ years of technical project or program management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineered product environment. Proven track record delivering products in high-mix, low-volume production settings. Strong familiarity with SAP or equivalent ERP systems; experience with multiple project tracking platforms is a plus. PMP certification is preferred, but not required. Familiarity with Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) or Agile/Lean methodologies is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills—able to influence stakeholders and drive alignment in matrixed organizations. Spanish language skills a plus. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to support programs with defense-related components. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related technical field required.
