Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team, focusing on vertical construction projects—ranging from complex renovations to ground-up federal buildings—where accuracy, collaboration, and insight are critical to success. Location: Alaska (Relocation assistance available for the selected candidate) Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of detailed estimates for federal vertical construction projects, including cost, labor, and material analysis. Collaborate with preconstruction/BD, design, and operations teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and comprehensive proposals. Analyze project documents, drawings, and specifications to identify risks and opportunities. Maintain and create new relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to gather pricing and scope information. Assist in bid strategy development and presentation of estimates to leadership and clients. Mentor junior estimators and support team growth and development. Qualifications
Required: 7+ years of estimating experience in federal vertical construction, including complex renovations and/or ground-up projects. Proven experience preparing accurate, detailed, and competitive construction estimates. Strong knowledge of federal project requirements, including Davis-Bacon, FAR, and other federal contracting guidelines. Experience on multiple contract vehicles, including MACC, MATOC, SATOC, IDIQ, SABER, JOC with multiple federal agencies. Proficiency in construction estimating software, including SAGE, Timberline, RS Means, and/or e4clicks. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to work on-site in Alaska; candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Why This Role?
