ManTech seeks a motivated, customer-oriented
Falcon MARRV Deputy Chief Engineer
to join our team in
El Segundo, California . We are seeking an experienced and energetic individual to support the United States Space Force (USSF)/Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC), AATS/AALF executing the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Program ensuring Falcon family launch vehicles meet requirements for NSS satellite mission launch services.
Responsibilities
Provide engineering oversight of SpaceX Falcon launch vehicle manufacturing with a strong emphasis on independence, initiative, and proactive problem-solving.
Serve as an individual contributor on engineering tasks, including change ticket dispositions, nonconformance review boards (NRBs), and LSP site manufacturing assessments.
Support the Falcon Chief MARRV Lead in coordinating with a multi-disciplined team of contractors, vendors, FFRDCs, and Space Force stakeholders in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.
Assist in the development and delivery of MARRV weekly and daily engineering products to the Space Force, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Leverage Microsoft Office, SharePoint-type systems, and Excel for data analysis and creating high-quality management briefings and decision-support charts.
Utilize Confluence and Jira for collaborative reporting, workflow management, and content development to support engineering documentation and mission tracking.
Collaborate effectively within a team, maintain strong customer communications, and provide 24/7 support to Space Force Tiger Teams during launch campaigns as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in systems, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or other related STEM field.
12+ years of experience in systems engineering, aerospace manufacturing, launch vehicles, or related technical roles.
3+ years of relevant experience in NSSL, DoD, NASA, or other military/space systems environments.
Proven track record of success in LSP manufacturing oversight roles and mission support execution.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience supporting Space & Missile Systems Center (SMC), now SSC, or other U.S. Government space organizations.
Familiarity with Falcon launch vehicles, systems processing, and operational workflows.
Excellent analytical thinking, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Clearance not required to start, but must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The projected compensation range for this position is $114,100.00-$191,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
