Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with a strong background in civil and/or construction litigation to join our Houston team. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial. The role requires strong courtroom experience, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with clients and colleagues to achieve favorable outcomes. Located in the Houston area (610 and I-10).
Responsibilities
Handle all phases of construction litigation, from case intake through trial and appeal. Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses. Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance to clients. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Manage case deadlines, budgets, and client communications. Collaborate with internal teams, experts, and outside counsel as needed.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar. 3–7+ years of litigation experience (civil and/or construction focus a must!). Strong knowledge of Texas civil procedure and construction law. Proven experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice. Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple cases independently while meeting deadlines. Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
