Valvoline Global Operations is seeking a Senior Director, Global Commercial & Industrial Product Strategy (C&I) reporting to the VP of Product Strategy & Management. This is a hybrid role with 2 days remote per week, based in Singapore or Lexington, United States. Valvoline Global Operations is The Original Motor Oil. How You’ll Make An Impact The Global C&I Product Strategy leads the commercial and industrial product strategy for Valvoline Global Operations, acting as the conduit between regional business units and the supply chain to drive growth. The leader will utilize global processes (Innovation Master Plan creation, New Solutions Development, target margins, etc.) to foster cross-functional collaboration. The Global C&I Product Strategy will implement the three main pillars of Product Strategy: Product Discovery — Identifying customer unmet needs Product Planning — Creating the innovation roadmap We embrace a “never idle” mindset. Responsibilities Include The Global Heavy Duty Product Strategy directs a team of Product Managers in key growth regions for Valvoline Global Operations and owns the global product portfolio. Product Discovery: Use market, enterprise, and business unit data to build the global vision for the VGO commercial and industrial product portfolio. Conduct consumer research to identify unmet needs and unlock innovation pathways. Evaluate the competitive landscape and identify portfolio gaps and claims opportunities. Product Planning: Create a long-term product portfolio vision. Develop a 5-year innovation roadmap aligned to corporate and business unit strategies. Maintain the roadmap based on market and business unit trends. Prioritize product-related projects and maximize portfolio profitability by maintaining regional target margins. Serve as the center of excellence for VGO innovation. Product Development: Follow the New Solutions Development stage-gate process for new initiatives. Create gate documents for all products on the innovation master plan. Lead initiatives to harmonize the Valvoline product portfolio globally. Coordinate cross-functional connections across Valvoline segments to deliver unified branding and product promises. Conduct Strategic Portfolio Reviews to assess long-term strategic fit and market opportunities. Coach & Mentor: Develop team members. Manage international direct reports. Set annual goals and development plans. Ensure the global team follows project management processes, provides agendas, timelines, and meeting recaps, and escalates issues as needed. Primary Interactions Regular interactions with the Valvoline Leadership Team, regional leaders, and departments such as Marketing, R&D, Global Equity, and Global Pricing.
