Code all diseases in the ED according to ICD-10-CM, UHDDS, and CPT-4 according to client specifications (no injection/infusion required). Keep current on Aviacode and client coding policies and procedures; ensure interpretation of procedure changes and additions. Discuss any unclear information needing clarification with supervisor and/or data quality specialist. Work with 3M Encoder and EPIC EMR system. Maintain production of 12 CPH. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and communicate changes to Coding Supervisor. Requirements
AHIMA credentials: RHIT, RHIA, or CCS required. Minimum of 3 years ED coding experience (recent). Principles of ICD-10 Outpatient Coding. Maintains accuracy and productivity per client and GeBBS policies. Maintains reports and data integrity as directed by supervisor and director. Professional communication per GeBBS policies. Working hours between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time, Mon-Fri only. Employment details
