(Global) Director of Biopharma Business Development, Oncology · Lunit US Lunit is a medical AI software company focused on providing AI-powered total cancer care. This role focuses on establishing and expanding partnerships with small to midsize Biopharma companies while driving revenue for the Lunit Oncology group. Lunit builds AI capabilities in pathology and radiology to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment and to enable new clinical and research insights. About The Position The (Senior) Director of Business Development is responsible for cultivating and growing Lunit's partnerships with BioPharma clients to support research, clinical, and/or commercial programs. This role works with Translational / Precision Medicine Research, Clinical Development Services (including laboratory services), and Diagnostic Products teams. The role is cross-functional and focused on advancing projects using Lunit AI products. Responsibilities
Build relationships with R&D and commercial executives to identify, develop, and support additional value-creation opportunities Source leads, map stakeholders, and surface relevant client interests and opportunities Determine where Lunit's products/services best support clients’ R&D and/or commercial objectives; negotiate to move projects forward Meet or exceed revenue goals for the product line and align with strategic objectives Apply an enterprise sales approach to understand influencers, approvers, and decision makers and influence actions Collaborate with Business Operations, Medical Affairs, Product Management, and other Lunit teams to ensure coordination and strategic outcomes Track progress against strategic objectives and revenue goals; review progress with the Account Team and Lunit Leadership Contribute to Oncology portfolio development by providing client feedback and maintaining a solution-oriented mindset Stay informed on the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory environment, and client priorities Understand client scientific challenges and define approaches to solve them with AI digital pathology solutions Travel approximately 15-40% of time, domestically and internationally, to attend conferences and meet clients Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Business Development and Sales in Life Sciences (BioPharma) Experience launching SaaS, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech products/services Extensive network of biopharma partners in Oncology with acumen in AI digital pathology Deep relationships with pharmaceutical stakeholders Strong account management and ability to navigate complex stakeholder networks Proven ability to navigate multi-faceted client organizations Strategic, executable planning and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset Entrepreneurial sales approach; thrives in high-growth environments Fast learner, customer-oriented, strategic thinker, strong communicator Bachelor's degree Access to high-speed internet (min 50 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload) Quiet home office space Preferred Experiences
Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, MD) Knowledge of AI solutions or digital pathology AI Biopharma experience with CDx development processes, RWD, and multimodal approaches How to Apply
