Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Neonatal Hospitalist to join our growing team at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL. This is a unique opportunity to cover the newborn nursery in a practice in a high-acuity, autonomous environment with a supportive team and a hospital committed to expanding its Womens & Childrens services. Practice Highlights
Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling allowing for a sustainable and rewarding lifestyle. Comprehensive Coverage: 25-bed Level III NICU (ADC: 17) 36-bed Newborn Nursery (ADC: 14) ~3,500 annual deliveries Accepts all gestational ages (excluding surgical cases) 8 hour daytime shifts Daily rounding in newborn nursery, supervision of family practice residents, circumcisions, no deliveries. Advanced Services: Body cooling, oscillators, and RN/RT-staffed regional transport team. Collaborative Team: Work with a cohesive group of experienced Neonatologists, NNPs and supportive OB hospitalists, MFM, and subspecialty telehealth providers. Academic Engagement: Teaching opportunities with University of Central Florida family medicine residents. Facility Features
