Overview

Reporting to the SFCJL Chief Operating Officer, the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, financial viability and quality of care for the Jewish Home & Rehab Center (JHRC), including Post-Acute and Long-Term Skilled Nursing Care and an Acute Psychiatric Unit. The Administrator is part of the senior executive leadership team of the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living and represents the organization with residents, patients, family members, regulatory agencies, and community partners. Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of the JHRC, including skilled nursing facility, Acute Psychiatric Unit and Clinics. Ensure administration and oversight of the JHRC in compliance with federal, state and local regulations and industry best practices; stay current on regulatory reporting requirements for acute psychiatric units and skilled nursing. Develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures in conformance with regulations and best practices; proactively identify areas for improvement and monitor outcomes. Oversee all listed departments (Nursing, Rehabilitation Services, Nutritional Services, Social Services, Admissions, Medical Records, Life Enrichment, Volunteer Services, Resident/Patient Billing, Facilities, Environmental Services, Infection Prevention, Laboratory Services, Pharmacy Services) for compliance and performance. Develop, manage and monitor budgets, staffing plans and systems to ensure efficient use of resources; ensure adequate 24/7/365 staffing for the JHRC. Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer on survey readiness and lead the organization during State and Federal survey activities; respond timely to regulatory inquiries and follow up on requirements. Oversee the complaints and grievance program, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation of actions taken. Drive efficiency and quality of care through process improvements and appropriate technology; partner with IT as needed. Lead and participate in Board-related committees and ensure exceptional patient, resident and staff experience; communicate with stakeholders regularly and support problem resolution. Maintain positive union relations and strong relationships with payer partners, referring hospitals, physicians and advanced practice providers; align campus-wide goals for efficiency where appropriate. Own the PBJ process with cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate and timely submissions; review reports and address discrepancies with regulatory bodies. Ensure facility life safety compliance and readiness; oversee emergency preparedness planning and drills; act as Abuse Coordinator with zero-tolerance policies for resident abuse and mandatory reporting. Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI)

Chair the JHRC QAPI committee and maintain the highest quality, safety and resident/patient experience standards. Establish, lead and evaluate the QAPI program; track KPIs and use data-driven decision making with stakeholder involvement. Stay up to date with industry standards and regulatory requirements; participate in committees and task forces to achieve organizational goals. Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience in the skilled nursing/post-acute skilled nursing or rehabilitation environment. Relevant clinical experience preferred. Valid Nursing Home Administrator License. Master's degree in business, public health, or related area preferred. Nursing Home Administrator Preceptor Certification preferred. Strong knowledge of federal, state and local regulations related to skilled nursing; up-to-date with trends in skilled nursing and healthcare administration. Exceptional communication skills; ability to engage frontline staff and the board; proven leadership and mentoring abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver timely results. Compensation & Benefits
