(PBMC) in Riverhead, NY. Northwell Neurology offers flexible positions, which include a combination of inpatient and ambulatory responsibilities as well as stroke hospitalist roles. Position Details
The Department of Neurology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years across all regions, with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services. Inclusion within the service line offers the opportunity to connect with a large group of neurologists, academic and teaching opportunities, grand rounds, conferences and the ability to discuss and share cases with experts in every subspecialty. At Northwell Health’s Institute for Neurology, we have three hospitals ranked in the top 50 in U.S. News & World Report as well as four comprehensive stroke programs, 11 primary stroke centers and 1 thrombectomy-capable center. The Department of Neurology, led by Dr. Souhel Najjar, a world-renowned Neurologist, has grown significantly and brings together the resources of Northwell Health and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell to provide state-of-the-art care while contributing to advances in technology, education and research. Founded in 1951 as Central Suffolk Hospital, PBMC is the largest hospital in Eastern Suffolk County and the Eastern Hub of Northwell Health. As a non-for-profit 144-bed community hospital, PBMC serves as the primary resource for advanced healthcare services for the Riverhead area and surrounding regions. PBMC provides the service area’s only Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Suite, Level III Trauma Center, and NYUS-Designated Stroke Center.
