Ohio-based Akron Children's Hospital seeks a Pediatric Nephrologist to join its expanding care team. The hospital is the largest pediatric healthcare system in Northeast Ohio and has been recognized for growth and quality in pediatric care.
Overview We diagnose and treat children and teens with kidney and kidney-related diseases, including high blood pressure, urinary tract infections, nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, kidney stone formation, pheresis services, kidney failure as well as pre- and post-transplant care. The hospital maintains a kidney dialysis and renal care center for children and teens whose kidneys have failed.
Responsibilities
Join an established team of two advanced practice providers and four pediatric nephrologists.
Diagnose and treat pediatric patients with kidney diseases and related conditions.
Support pre- and post-transplant care and participate in/overseepheresis services as appropriate.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive pediatric renal care, including dialysis and nephrology services.
Qualifications
Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Nephrology.
Ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
