Overview
ENSCO, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Operations Research Analyst/DATA (Level 1) to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Cybersecurity Group within the NAS Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO) Directorate. In this role, the candidate will lead the analysis, development, and implementation of advanced, data-driven cybersecurity engineering solutions that enhance the protection and resilience of the National Airspace System (NAS). The selected candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with FAA leadership, senior engineers, and cross-functional teams to guide the collection, organization, and analysis of cybersecurity-related data in support of complex system assessments, high-priority risk evaluations, and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities
Directing the development of functional requirements Overseeing the creation of advanced visualizations and technical reports Ensuring optimal enterprise security tool integration Authoring high-quality technical documentation Providing authoritative analytical support for assessing the cybersecurity impacts of planned system changes Ensuring compliance with FAA and federal security requirements Driving the use of analytics to inform security engineering strategies Leading the preparation of executive-level briefings and dashboards Managing secure datasets and repositories Supervising advanced data modeling efforts to support FAA cybersecurity operations Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences, operations research, economics, computer science, engineering, business, information systems, information technology, management science, or related field 20+ years of experience (Master's Degree may substitute for 3 years; PhD may substitute for 7 years) Proven expertise supporting large-scale federal cybersecurity or IT programs Demonstrated ability to lead the design, development, and implementation of data-driven cybersecurity solutions supporting risk evaluation, system performance assessment, and enterprise-level decision-making Extensive experience supporting requirements development, risk assessments, and performance measurement for enterprise IT and security programs Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent) and advanced data processing in Python, R, or MATLAB In-depth knowledge of NIST standards and federal compliance frameworks Ability to develop and present executive-level briefings and reports with actionable insights Proven leadership in mentoring junior analysts, directing analysis teams, and coordinating with senior government and contractor stakeholders Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required) Desired: Experience working with the FAA ATO Experience leading large-scale cybersecurity data analysis efforts including risk modeling, performance forecasting, and system optimization Proficiency in predictive analysis, machine learning, and simulation modeling for security and operational performance Experience with data visualization and analysis platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, MATLAB, R, Python) Active Secret security clearance Required Certifications:
