Join to apply for the MRI Technologist - ADIT role at Fairview Health Services. Here at Fairview, we are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team at University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. This is a .75 FTE (60 hours per 2 weeks) position on the day/evening shift. Hours for this position include five 12-hour shifts in a two-week pay period, with a sample schedule as follows: Week 1 - 9:00am to 9:00pm (Thursday and Friday); Week 2 - 9:00am to 9:00pm (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). Responsibilities

Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes Performs individualized, compassionate patient care Performs high quality examinations Identifies relevant data from images accurately Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family and other customer needs Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional Participates in creating a culture of patient safety Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness Verifies patient identification and documentation Communicates with and educates patients regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the exam Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures Ensures patient data integrity Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes Follows infection control guidelines Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations Required Qualifications

Technical Certificate or Associate of Science in Radiology Understanding of current ACR Guidelines for MRI Safety Knowledge of quality control and safety standards Strong interpersonal skills ARRT Radiology Tech Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross) Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements Preferred Qualifications

Previous healthcare experience 1 year experience in a related role Additional certifications in Imaging ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 1-1/2 years Benefits
