Job Overview
Here at Fairview, we are hiring an MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Department at our University of MN Medical Center - West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 0.6 FTE (48 hours per pay period) position that will work the following schedule: Wk 1: 3:00pm to 11:00pm Wed, Thurs, Fri. Wk 2: 3:00pm to 11:00pm Mon, Tues, Wed. This position will include a sign on bonus of up to $6,000! The MRI Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT). Responsibilities
Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes Performs individualized, compassionate patient care Performs high quality examinations Identifies relevant data from images accurately Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional Participates in creating a culture of patient safety Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness Verify patient identification and documentation Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures Ensures patient data integrity Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations Required Qualifications
Technical Certificate and/or Associates Degree in Radiology Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Basic Life Support Preferred Qualifications
1 or more years of experience in a related role Additional certifications in Imaging ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire Benefits Overview
