Senior Project Director - Energy Process Solutions Portfolio role at Black & Veatch. The Senior Director of Energy Process Solutions Portfolio is responsible for developing and implementing the Energy Process Solutions strategy to position the company in the industry and to ensure competitive edge. The leader will foster an industry best safety and quality culture and ensure project director and project management resources are allocated timely and efficiently with appropriate expertise. The solutions group includes hydrogen, ammonia, sustainable fuels and carbon capture. This is a full-time, staff position located in Kansas City (preferred) or Houston. Key Responsibilities

Develops overall strategy for Energy Process Solutions to ensure growth, establish company presence in the industry, and maintain competitive edge. Ensures Energy Process Solutions maintains technical knowledge to promote advancement in the industry. Responsible for strategic plan, alignment with Fuels and Natural Resources operating plan, and goals for Energy Process Solutions. Identifies work based on market assessment and determines products to sell and methodology of execution. Execute projects and deliver results as-sold or better. Responsible for project profitability including safety, quality, schedule, and cost. Facilitates project reviews to ensure product quality, client expectations, and issue resolution. Assists project management in negotiating, assessing, and mitigating risk for contracts with projects and subcontractors. Maintains strategic alliances where appropriate. Collaborates on client segmentation strategies; drives engagement with peers to create an enterprise account and service approach. Supports sales activities to capture new business and maintain existing clients. Works with clients to develop viable solutions. Contributes to portfolio strategy evolution across BV. Develops business cases for near and long-term adjacent solutions. Educates internal stakeholders on the solution and value proposition. Provides thought leadership and engages the external community. Influences, manages, and/or establishes budgets including Project Gross Margin (PGM), revenue, and overhead expenses. Drives proposal activities including solution value definition, risk and quality management, and competitive pricing. Implements administrative policies and procedures for Process Solutions in alignment with the division. Regularly meets with external entities including clients, contractors, suppliers/vendors, and partners to establish strategy and execution for projects, pursue new business, negotiate contracts, and review project status. Supports strategic alliances and growth. Determines merit and bonus distribution for department, approves compensation actions in line with budget and guidelines. PM/PD development and supervisory responsibilities (recruiting, staffing, training, evaluations, disciplinary actions). May develop and implement strategy, establish and monitor budget. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required 12+ years progressive experience in management of relevant business line and related technology All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search) as applicable by law and regulation Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or related technical discipline Prior project management or project execution experience Strong industry knowledge for line of business Knowledge of contract terms, risks, pricing, and payment terms Excellent knowledge of business line technology and strong financial acumen (PGM, revenue, overhead, financial statements) Strong budgeting and cost management knowledge Knowledge of risk management, change management, and HR programs Excellent client service, negotiation, and influencing skills; presentation and communication skills Strategic and business planning abilities; leadership in P&L management, coaching, and change management Work Environment/Physical Demands

Domestic travel; international travel possible Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on manager discretion and performance Competencies
