Business Tax Services – Private Tax Partnerships – Manager Opportunity

EY Private Tax is a growing practice within the organization, with a dedicated focus toward serving privately held companies. Clients range from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies, including high-growth private companies. You will work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects, with ample support and training from experienced colleagues, and opportunities to progress to senior manager. Your Key Responsibilities

Support senior managers through partners in providing tax services. Balance time between compliance and planning, interacting directly with clients. Focus on flow-through entities (i.e., partnerships) and become a trusted advisor across multiple teams. Build long-term relationships with clients and understand their needs to provide tailored service. Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients. Maintain professional knowledge by updating and sharing technical best practices. Manage, coach and develop a team of tax professionals, review work, and provide tools and opportunities for growth. Identify and respond to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes. Qualifications

Skills And Attributes For Success

A bachelor’s degree in a related field, supported by tax, business or financial planning experience. A CPA certification or membership in The Bar. Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and the confidence to challenge colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization. Willingness to work in a balanced hybrid environment and travel as needed. Ideally, you will have

A commitment to continuing your learning. Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis. Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus. Experience in managing, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues. What We Look For

What We Offer You

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Base salary range for this job nationwide is $106,500 to $195,100; for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) it is $127,700 to $221,700. Salaries are determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k), and generous paid time off. Hybrid model: most client-facing roles are expected to be in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
