Overview
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President to join our client's private equity investment team with a focus on technology and tech-enabled services. This individual will play a leadership role in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments across the sector. The ideal candidate will bring deep transaction experience, sector insight, and a strong ability to drive value creation in portfolio companies.
Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing & Origination:
Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with founders, executives, bankers, and intermediaries in the technology and tech-enabled services space.
Lead initial screening and evaluation of new investment opportunities.
Transaction Execution:
Lead due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and market analysis.
Oversee financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring.
Manage third-party advisors and coordinate internal deal teams.
Present investment theses and recommendations to the investment committee.
Portfolio Management:
Serve as a key point of contact for portfolio company management teams.
Drive strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and growth strategies.
Monitor performance metrics and support exit planning and execution.
Team Leadership & Development:
Mentor and manage Associates and Analysts.
Contribute to firm-wide knowledge sharing and process improvement.
Qualifications
6-10 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, growth equity, or corporate development, with a strong track record in technology or tech-enabled services.
Proven ability to lead transactions from sourcing through exit.
Strong financial modeling, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
