This role focuses on designing modern IP-based network architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and technical consistency, and providing oversight of subcontractor activities to prevent design and integration issues. Responsibilities
Design modern IP-based network architectures for enterprise and mission-critical environments. Ensure scalability, security, and technical consistency across all network solutions. Provide technical oversight of subcontractor activities to prevent integration or design issues. Develop and maintain network standards, documentation, and reference architectures. Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and program managers to align network solutions with business and mission needs. Conduct capacity planning, risk assessments, and performance evaluations to optimize network performance. Evaluate and recommend networking technologies and tools for future deployments. Support incident response and troubleshooting efforts for complex network challenges. Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in network design and security. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship Required. Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance. Bachelor's degree with 16 years of experience or Masters with 14 years; Associate's with 18 years; HS diploma/equivalent with 20 years. Proven experience in network architecture or engineering. Proven expertise in IP-based network design, including routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies. Strong understanding of network security principles, scalability planning, and high-availability solutions. Experience managing subcontractor or vendor performance on complex projects. Familiarity with network monitoring tools, QoS, and troubleshooting methodologies. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems. Experience with FAA systems, federal modernization programs, or other critical infrastructure environments. Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIE, or AWS/Azure Networking Specialty. Knowledge of cloud and hybrid network architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP). Background in Zero Trust networking principles and SD-WAN technologies. Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Benefits and Details
Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. Salary is determined by factors including scope, experience, education, location, and contract considerations. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply where applicable.
