Job Summary
The Enterprise Architect is a crucial member of the Enterprise Architecture team, responsible for designing and implementing robust IT architecture solutions that support Wellstar’s mission to deliver world-class healthcare. The Enterprise Architect will work closely with the Executive Director of Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with organizational goals and IT strategy. This role involves developing and maintaining architecture models, evaluating and integrating new technologies, and ensuring interoperability and scalability. The architect establishes and enforces architectural standards and best practices across IT projects, collaborates with IT and business teams, and creates comprehensive documentation including diagrams, standards, and guidelines. The position requires proactive risk management and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation within the IT architecture. Responsibilities
Define architecture designs of enterprise-wide solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technical due diligence for new projects Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, principles, and best practices to support business goals Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement with peers and partner teams Document and communicate architecture designs, decisions, and roadmaps Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with Wellstar policies, standards of work, and code of conduct Required Minimum Education
Bachelor's in Computer Science or Master’s in Information Technology (preferred) Licenses and Certifications
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated Experience
Minimum 7 years in software engineering or software architecture Proven ability to translate large business problems into technical solutions Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architecture Expertise in microservices, API management, DevOps, and containerization Experience designing and implementing enterprise integration strategies Experience leading project or product management Healthcare platform experience preferred Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to align technology with business strategy Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) IT security, data governance, and regulatory compliance knowledge Knowledge of emerging technologies and their impact on healthcare; AI/ML, IoT, and blockchain knowledge is a plus How to Apply
