Overview

Brass Castle School seeks a dynamic, visionary educational leader to serve as Principal. The successful candidate will provide instructional leadership, foster a positive school culture, and ensure academic excellence for all students. This role requires a collaborative leader who can work effectively with students, staff, parents, and the broader community to advance our school's mission and values. Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership & Instruction Provide instructional leadership to improve student achievement across all grade levels and demographics Develop, implement, and monitor curriculum aligned with state standards and district goals Conduct regular classroom observations and provide meaningful feedback to teachers Use data-driven decision making to guide instructional improvements and interventions Oversee assessment programs and analyze results to inform teaching and learning Staff Management & Development Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate teaching and support staff Foster professional development opportunities and support career growth Build and maintain a collaborative, high-performing team environment Manage staff schedules, assignments, and workload distribution Address personnel issues and conduct performance improvement processes when necessary School Operations & Climate Establish and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive school environment Develop and enforce school policies, procedures, and disciplinary guidelines Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations and policies Oversee student services including special education, counseling, and support programs Community Relations & Communication Build positive relationships with parents, families, and community stakeholders Communicate regularly with the school community through multiple channels Represent the school at district meetings, community events, and public forums Collaborate with local organizations and businesses to enhance educational opportunities Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field Valid New Jersey Administrative Certificate (School Administrator or Principal) or CE Minimum 5 years of successful teaching experience Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional best practices, and assessment Experience with budget management and school operations Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills Proficiency in educational technology and data management systems Preferred Qualifications

Administrative leadership experience Background in special education or other specialized programs Experience with school improvement initiatives Grant writing experience Application Process
