WHS (Workplace Health & Safety) is seeking a Sr. Product Manager - Technical to lead an important product for our global safety operations. As a Sr. PMT for Amazon’s WHS Data-Tech organization, you will play a vital role in inventing, simplifying, and scaling the work of Amazon’s technology products that have a tangible impact on safety of the global workforce. We seek a product leader who can manage large, cross-functional technology programs and projects, coordinating with multiple technology and operational teams worldwide. You will lead a group of managers who lead teams of technical product managers, developers, data engineers, and data scientists to provide products and services that deliver insights and improve safety processes worldwide. Responsibilities Product Management: Deliver on the product strategy, road mapping, and prioritization of features for safety products and solutions. Unified user experience: Identify user needs through user research, onsite visits, and feedback mechanisms. Work with program and engineering teams to build a unified user interface to streamline user experience. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate product visions, goals, and requirements to stakeholders across Program, Ops, Tech, and Finance. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth product development. Day-in-the-life and qualifications Key attributes include the ability to thrive in a challenging entrepreneurial environment, manage ambiguity, develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, and also execute hands-on. You should be able to break down large, complex products into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, and deliver them timely. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints. Required qualifications Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition Experience delivering features and understanding tradeoffs for a product Experience contributing to engineering discussions about technology decisions and strategy related to a product Experience managing technical products or online services Experience representing and advocating for various customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning 5+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, science, analytics, or business management Experience using analytical tools such as Tableau, QlikView, QuickSight Experience building and driving adoption of new tools Preferred education Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Analytics, or Science About the team WHS Data-Tech's charter is to deliver technology solutions and data insights that help reduce workplace risks and injuries at Amazon.
