Overview
Northwell Health Cancer Institute, New York’s leading cancer care provider, seeks a dynamic, board-certified Hematologist-Oncologist to lead our Leukemia Program as System Head. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of leukemia care at the prestigious R.J. Zuckerberg Cancer Center in New Hyde Park, New York, and across the Northwell Health system. This leadership role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of leukemia care within a large and dynamic health system. The System Head will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts across various Northwell facilities, including surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, nurses, social workers, geneticists, and counselors. This collaborative approach ensures that we provide comprehensive and coordinated care, addressing the physical and emotional needs of our patients. Responsibilities
Develop and implement system-wide leukemia treatment protocols Lead innovative clinical research initiatives, leveraging resources like the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and our affiliation with Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Mentor junior faculty and build a collaborative, multidisciplinary team Collaborate with a diverse team of over 200 cancer specialists across 25 sub-specialties, providing comprehensive and coordinated care to over 19,000 patients annually. Access state-of-the-art facilities and a robust research infrastructure to advance breakthroughs in cancer diagnosis and treatment, ensuring patients have access to the most advanced therapies.
