Overview
The Vice President, Content and Production will oversee the development, production, and distribution of all content across College Sports Company’s national brand and team specific platforms, including digital, social, and live events. This role will drive the creative vision, manage production teams, and ensure content aligns with our mission to inspire and engage college sports audiences. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a proven track record in content creation, production management, and team leadership within the sports or entertainment industry. Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that enhances College Sports Company’s brand, engages fans, and drives audience growth across national and team specific channels (e.g., social media, streaming, websites, and broadcast). Oversee the creation of compelling, high-quality content, including video and multimedia formats, tailored to the college sports audience. Collaborate with the sales team to align content with sponsorship opportunities, brand campaigns, and revenue goals. Lead all aspects of content production, including pre-production, filming, editing, and post-production for video, live events, and digital content. Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope while maintaining high production standards. Oversee the selection and management of external vendors, production partners, and freelancers to support content initiatives. Hire, mentor, and manage a team of content creators, producers, editors, and other creative professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and cultivate a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence. Build relationships with key stakeholders, including college athletic programs, athletes, and industry influencers. Qualifications
Experience leading content strategy and production for a national brand and team-specific platforms. Proven ability to manage multi-channel content programs (digital, social, streaming, websites, and broadcast). Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with a track record of building and guiding teams of content creators, producers, editors, and other creatives. Experience working with sponsorships and revenue-driven initiatives. Budget management and vendor/partner negotiation experience.
