Boxborough is seeking a dynamic financial professional for the position of Assistant Treasurer/Collector in the Treasurer/Collector’s Office. We are seeking a self-starting individual of high integrity, with keen analytical aptitude, demonstrated accounting and payroll skills, and a desire for continued career development in municipal finance.
Responsibilities
Collects payments
Conducts bank transfers
Prepares certificates and billing
Reconciles deposits
Prepares and processes payroll
Processes department accounts payable
Coordinates employee benefits
Responds to customer inquiries
Other office functions
Qualifications and Experience
Associate’s degree in finance, accounting, public or business administration or a finance related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Three or more years of progressively responsible related experience in a professional, preferably municipal, finance or payroll office
Or other equivalent education and experience
Additional Details
Part-time position (19.5 hours) with flexible hours
Works under the operational direction of the Town Treasurer/Collector
This is a non-union position and the hiring range for the successful candidate is $27.50 – $28.89/hour
