Celebrating over 60 years of excellence, education, and advocacy, the International Franchise Association (IFA) is the world’s oldest and largest organization representing franchising worldwide. IFA works through its government relations and public policy, media relations, and educational programs to protect, enhance and promote franchising and the approximately 790,492 franchise establishments that support nearly 8.4 million direct jobs, $825.4 billion of economic output for the U.S. economy, and almost 3 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). IFA members include franchise companies in over 300 different business format categories, individual franchisees, and companies that support the industry in marketing, law, technology, and business development. Key Facts: Salary range is around $55,000- $75,000 annually. This is not a remote position. Must be able to work at the IFA DC office on a hybrid schedule. Travel required. The
Events & Registration Coordinator
is a part of the Events Team responsible for the content planning and execution of events ranging from 100 to 4,000+ attendees, and up to $6 million in revenue. We are looking for a collaborative team player with the drive and passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences through the program creation and delivery of best-in-class content. Our ideal candidate must be a keen multi-tasker, enjoys administrative tasks, highly detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills, thrives under pressure and is adept at building relationships. The
Events & Registration Coordinator
will travel to association conferences and manage registration with a variety of other aspects of each event onsite. Key Responsibilities
Serve as the events team liaison for IFA’s registration platform (CVENT), AMS (Nimble, Salesforce), and website, ensuring the integrity of IFA’s online registration process. Collaborate with IFA’s Technology team and external logistics partner to prepare content, review and test event registrations. Work with the Conferences and Meetings Team to support all administrative aspects of content development and execution of assigned events, including preparing materials for meetings, building material resource web pages, and onsite coordination. Prepare data for weekly event registration reports and other analyses. Manage post-event tasks such as survey creation, analyzing attendee feedback, reconciling vendor invoices, and distributing post-event attendee materials via an online site or mobile app. Serve as the department point of contact for member inquiries regarding all association events. Perform other duties as required by the Vice President, Event Design and Planning. Ideal Experience
Bachelor’s degree, and one to two years of experience in event registration and execution; or a combination of education and experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and experience with CVENT, Salesforce, Nimble, or other registration/CRM systems. Familiarity with Monday.com is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented with a focus on administrative efficiency. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build relationships. Strong administrative experience, multi-tasking ability, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) credential is a plus. How to apply:
