Overview
Field Service Manager - South Bay/San Francisco Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, part of Danaher’s operating companies, is seeking a Field Service Manager for the San Francisco territory. This role directs and leads the field service organization for the defined area, including installations and implementations, preventative maintenance, break/fix service activity, and proactive post-sale service activity. The position will have responsibility for the P&L of the Service business with direct revenue in excess of $10M and costs in excess of $5M. This role is remote and covers the San Francisco Territory within the North America Field Technical Service organization. You will report to the Senior Field Service Manager – West Coast Region and contribute to building a world-class Field Service organization within our North America Commercial Organization (NACO) Field Services team. Responsibilities
Regularly visit clients and customers to maintain networks and develop new opportunities in partnership with the sales team Lead a team of Field Service Engineers, including training and professional development; set goals and objectives; lead recruitment to build the right team Drive P&L and operational performance around safety, compliance, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, first-time fix rate, employee satisfaction, and expenses Coordinate with the team to facilitate preventive maintenance (PM), modifications (MOD), and balance daily service-call workload Manage and resolve high-pressure customer issues, including product performance issues and technical escalations Lead projects and apply DBS (Danaher Business System) to map improvement plans and drive continuous improvements Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of experience or Master’s Degree with 7+ years of experience 3+ years’ experience in people management (direct reports) Working knowledge of Field Customer Support, Service Contracting, and related sub fields Knowledge of customer relationships and customer satisfaction methodologies Ability to travel up to 50% within the region Preferred/Additional
Previous 5+ years’ experience managing people Knowledge of the medical diagnostic industry, its trends, pitfalls and challenges Knowledge of diagnostic analyzers – specifications and performance standards and U.S. healthcare legislation Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is
$135,000.00-$150,000.00 . This role is eligible for bonus/incentive pay and housing allowance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees. The company may modify compensation and benefits in accordance with applicable laws and internal policies. This position is eligible for remote work from your home.
