This individual independently plans, executes complex test methodologies for cellular modem productization, with expertise in 3GPP WWAN specifications (LTE and 5G NR). Performs end-to-end performance/functional analysis of multi-RAT cellular modems and optimizes system performance based on data from lab and live networks. Collaborates with modem systems, software, hardware and firmware teams to characterize, certify and commercialize a cost-effective, high-performance modem that meets quality metrics and customer requirements. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, report to Qualcomm’s office location(s) in Santa Clara, CA. Responsibilities:
Plan, design, standardize, implement, validate and execute complex test methodologies for cellular modem products. Analyze end-to-end performance/functional data for multi-RAT WWAN modems and optimize system performance. Collaborate with modem systems, software, hardware and firmware teams to characterize and certify a high-quality modem meeting industry metrics. Contribute to design reviews and project meetings. Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (foreign equivalent) will be considered. Or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with five (5) years of progressive related experience.
