Overview

The Center for Pelvic Health and Wellness at UCLA, a subspecialty urogynecology practice within the UCLA Department of Urology focused on the evidence-based care of chronic pelvic pain, is looking to fill the role of a Nurse Practitioner (NP). The NP is expected to provide exemplary patient care consistent with the UCLA Health CICARE Service Excellence. This individual will review medical histories, evaluate patients in clinic and via telemedicine and group visits, perform comprehensive physical examination, review laboratory and imaging results, formulate treatment plans, manage prescriptions, and provide patient education. Responsibilities

Review medical histories, evaluate patients in clinic and via telemedicine and group visits, perform comprehensive physical examinations, review laboratory and imaging results, formulate treatment plans, manage prescriptions, and provide patient education in alignment with CICARE Service Excellence. Manage clinical questions by telephone and Epic inbasket; perform procedures as needed; manage clinical issues that arise following procedures and surgeries; address prescription-related issues such as prior authorization; carry out related tasks for the Center for Pelvic Health and Wellness at UCLA and the UCLA Department of Urology under the supervision of the attending urologists. Consult with the attending physicians as appropriate. Facilitate communication and feedback between patients, attending physicians, and referring physicians. Function in an interdependent role by implementing appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). Use SPs to adjust treatment regimens after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determine if findings are abnormal. Provide and coordinate care of patients, deliver patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care, participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provide education and support, make appropriate referrals, and document services rendered. Salary range: $89.06-$127.19/hourly.
