The mission of this General Manager role is to grow the rapidly expanding DFW Residential HVAC Service market effectively. This GM will be tasked with achieving employee satisfaction, career growth, customer satisfaction, retention, membership growth, and steady, profitable revenue and operating income growth. The successful candidate will be able to provide leadership in strategy, sales, and operations, and demonstrate passion for the employees and customers. The opportunity for the executive selected to lead this business will be to provide both strategic and tactical leadership for an expanding critical region. Responsibilities
This position will oversee the profit and loss (P&L) performance of the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Residential HVAC Service business. They will define and deliver the strategy for the region and be responsible for Branding, marketing, sales, project management, Customer Service Support, membership growth, engineering, integration, operations, and overall financial performance. They will establish an operational improvement program, identifying and assessing all process and procedural improvements, to increase profitable returns and reduce costs, while still maintaining quality. Play a lead role in executive management meetings, presenting relevant operational presentations and updates. Provide assigned staff with ongoing feedback, direction, and guidance to ensure a well-motivated and productive workgroup. This position must operate as a true strategic and tactical leader for the Company, managing, mentoring, and leading the DFW Residential HVAC Service organization as a whole. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. A minimum of 7 years’ operational management experience coupled with a minimum of 3 years of P&L management experience within home services or related sectors. Prior General Management responsibility, including the development of KPI/KRAs. Prior experience leading a technical or services workforce and an indirect team of 50+ reports. Verifiable success and confidence in business development and sales. Prior success in growing a membership base. Proven abilities in managing a diverse group of leaders. Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities. Ability to work well as part of the top management team to facilitate growth and expansion while strengthening the organization as a whole. Superior written and oral communication skills. Aggressive “can do” attitude combined with a sense of urgency and a commitment to quality. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Must have good analytical and reasoning skills. Must be proactive and take great pride in work. The GM should care about the employees and their personal success, customers’ success, and the company’s success in a balanced fashion. The Executive should be unwavering in the constant pursuit of the best people. The GM should be a loyal team player who is unselfish and celebrates success. The GM should love to come to work because of the people, and the cause, which is being a conscientious provider of services to our customers. The GM should be able to make decisions decisively and be able to follow up and hold people accountable by measuring people, processes, and systems towards success. The GM should be a leader who pursues excellence and always sets expectations with employees. The relationship between the GM and the COO should be one of Trust. They’ll both operate with conviction towards each other’s best interests and the best interests of all employees and customers. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in managing sales & marketing, business unit, division, or company within the HVAC services sector .
