Diagnostic Pediatric Radiologist
The Department of Radiology at
Cohen Children’s Medical Center , associated with Hofstra-Northwell Medical School, Department of Radiology, is actively seeking a full-time (or part-time) Diagnostic Pediatric Radiologist.
Responsibilities
Work on-site at Cohen Children’s Medical Center but have flexibility to live on Long Island, Queens, Manhattan or lower Westchester.
Potential opportunity to work on-site at Northwell’s Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan – but participate in CCMC call.
Regular Academic Time – 1 full day/week.
Recent compensation increase to top of NY metro area market for on-site diagnostic pediatric radiology plus full and comprehensive benefits.
No night-time call for intussusceptions.
24/7 IT tech support.
Clinical responsibilities include all aspects of Pediatric Radiology (plain film, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and MRI). Service coverage includes Cohen Children’s Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, as well as several community hospitals remotely.
Collegial environment and emphasis on teamwork in a large group setting with fellowship trained colleagues in multiple subspecialities.

Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree and board certified in Diagnostic Radiology.
Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology, CAQ certified or eligible and qualified for licensure in New York.
Expertise in all areas of Pediatric Radiology (except Neuroradiology) is required.
The successful candidate will have dedicated time towards scholarly activities and will be expected to teach medical students, residents and fellows. Participation in several multidisciplinary conferences is also required.
The Pediatric Radiology division is a growing group of 5 dedicated pediatric radiologists. There are two new dedicated Pediatric MRI machines (1.5T and 3T), two CT scanners, two new Siemens flat panel fluoroscopy units, and 3 ultrasound suites. There are Pediatric Ultrasound technologists 24-hours a day.
A new separate Pediatric Neuroradiology division has also been established, which includes two dedicated Pediatric Neuroradiologists.
Research activity is encouraged and supported with abundant opportunities through a departmental research division and with the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.
The CCMC is located on the border of Queens and Nassau County, Long Island, and is approximately 15 miles from Manhattan.
