The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science (Frost Science) in Miami, Florida, is seeking a Vice President, Finance & Administration to join its executive leadership team. Reporting to the President & CEO, this senior executive will oversee Finance, Sales, People & Culture, and Retail, while serving as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board of Trustees. The VPF&A will also act as staff liaison to key Board committees and provide strategic financial leadership to ensure the museum’s long-term sustainability and growth. Frost Science is a world-class destination for science education and discovery, featuring a state-of-the-art planetarium, a three-level aquarium, and award-winning exhibitions that inspire millions of visitors annually. JOB QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field is required; a master’s degree and/or CPA designation is strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, including nonprofit or museum experience preferred. Experience managing federal, state, and private grant funding. CPA and/or public accounting background a plus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Deep understanding of GAAP, FASB, nonprofit compliance, and financial controls. Proven track record of strategic financial leadership, especially in mission-driven organizations. Strong communication, leadership, and team development skills. Familiarity with financial and accounting reporting systems and tools; experience with MIP/Abila, and Paylocity preferred.
