Senior Product Sales Manager (Rowan Patents)
We are looking for a Senior Product Sales Manager to join the Rowan Patents, part of Clarivate. This role is part of the sales team for the Rowan platform, which focuses on AI-enabled patent drafting preparation and prosecution. You will drive the Rowan sales strategy in the field, deliver market expansion for a high-impact product line, work with a matrixed sales organization, develop innovative sales pipelines, and cultivate high-level customer relationships. You will serve as a trusted advisor to target audiences, ensuring customers achieve their goals through solution presentations, workshops, trials and/or proofs of concept. Responsibilities
Serve as a primary contact for a high-impact product line (Rowan), cultivating and managing strong relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
Utilize advanced sales and negotiation techniques to engage with high-value customers, drive market expansion, and address complex challenges while building and nurturing high-level customer partnerships
Achieve and exceed sales targets ensuring alignment with Clarivate’s sales objectives and contributing significantly to revenue growth
Leverage knowledge of patent preparation and prosecution to support clients (attorneys and paralegals) using Rowan software to draft and prosecute patents; drive software adoption through hands-on engagement; lead best practices for deployment and usage
Continuously deepen industry knowledge and product expertise to maintain a competitive advantage while refining sales planning and enhancing overall commercial success
Acquire a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and defend our solutions against competitive offerings
Provide sales insights, market and customer feedback to senior leadership; collaborate with product teams to inform future roadmaps and enhancements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
7+ years of professional work experience in sales and/or intellectual property or similar
3+ years of IP experience related to patent drafting work
Prefered/Additional
Past work experience as a Patent Attorney
In-depth knowledge of USPTO patent filing requirements
Prior experience successfully selling into law firms and/or corporate legal teams

Rowan Patents focuses on AI-enabled solutions for patent drafting preparation and prosecution, designed for patent practitioners to establish and protect patents more effectively. You will partner with another sales professional focusing on the growth of the Rowan platform.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time remote position with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
You will be expected to travel ~50% to meet with clients as needed
Compensation - US Only The expected base salary for this position is $110,000-140,000 USD per year with eligibility for commission earnings. Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors. In addition to a competitive remuneration package, you will be eligible to participate in a benefits package that includes medical, dental, prescription drug, life insurance, 401k with match, long term disability coverage, vacation, sick time, volunteer time, discount programs, and more.
