Responsible for the overall planning, development, direction, and administration of commercial auto claims program. Provide technical guidance and direction to team members with special emphasis on litigation. Plan for and ensure that budget and performance targets are met. Interact with and make recommendations to executive management, underwriting and marketing on internal and external issues of strategic importance. Focus on fresh, creative approaches on every claim. Offer expert advice to team members on complex claim file management and extend settlement authority following comprehensive reviews. Communicate effectively and develop strong relationships with team members. Affect settlements and reserves within prescribed limits of authority and submit recommendations to Divisional Vice President on cases exceeding personal authority. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field. A JD is preferred. Current P&C licenses in Texas and Florida are required with the ability to obtain other jurisdictional licenses as required due to nationwide scope of claims inventory. 15-18 years of experience in commercial auto property damage and bodily injury claims is required. Minimum 8 years of direct Commercial Auto team management experience is required, including direct handling or oversight of complex litigation, PIP and Med Pay claims. Extensive background in coverage analysis, reserving, claims investigation, and litigation management is required. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. Occasional Travel (requires some overnight travel). Business Unit
Strategic Comp Salary Range
$130,000.00 - $170,000.00 Benefits
Compensation varies by role, position level, and location.
