Graduate Midwifery Degree (MSN or DNP from an ACME-accredited program) CA RN License National Certification as a CNM (through the AMCB) State Nurse-Midwife Certification (California) DEA BLS (AHA) Professional Skills
A thorough knowledge of women’s health principles and practices. An ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team. A professional who is sensitive to culturally and linguistically diverse patient populations. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation. Responsibilities
Ready to get down to the labor of love that is patient care? Your responsibilities will include: Providing comprehensive women’s health services including prenatal care, family planning, and preventive health. Conducting patient histories, health assessments, and physical exams. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests; prescribing medications. Educating patients on preventive health practices and healthy living. Collaborating with OB-GYNs, PCPs, behavioral health, nutritionists, and pediatric teams. Participating in care coordination meetings and quality improvement projects. Maintaining accurate and timely EHR documentation. Delivering occasional in-service training for staff. Traveling to other service sites as directed by the Chief Medical Officer or designee. About Us
