Overview

Boyer Children's Clinic is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. We provide medical, therapy, special education and family services to infants and young children with developmental delays and their families. Working with staff at all levels, the Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluative, therapeutic and consultative services for children with neuromuscular disorders and/or developmental delays who are delayed in speech, language, pre-speech (feeding), pre-linguistic (cognitive), and/or hearing abilities. Our therapists also help families learn how to care for and play with their children to encourage emerging skills. The right person will work collaboratively, earn trust quickly, and maintain a focus on our mission. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide direct, indirect, or consultative services to children with communication disorders in client homes, at other community sites, and in the center, in compliance with regulatory and company practices. Establish and carry out appropriate therapy programs and augmentative/alternative communication systems according to each child’s needs. Coordinate program with child’s caregiver(s), other therapy and educational programs, and with other involved agencies and professionals. Document assessment, program and progress of each child including written reports, IEP/IFSP, videotape and tape recordings as appropriate. Structured orientation with a ramp-up schedule to assist you. Schedule includes a 37.5 hour workweek with flexibility. Compensation

$73,049 to $101,826 annually, depending on experience. Work Environment, Physical Demands & Travel

The work environment is a typical office setting. Physical demands include using a computer and sitting/standing in an office environment. Travel to appointments or between offices may be required daily. Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License and automobile insurance if driving a vehicle. Loan Forgiveness

Please direct questions regarding eligibility to your loan program. Position Requirements Required Licenses, Qualifications, and/or Certifications

Two years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with children who have disabilities or equivalent. Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Background in neurogenic speech disorders, language disorders, autism, and pediatric feeding is desirable but not required. Certification of Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Washington State licensure. Clinical Fellows may be considered. Current First Aid and CPR certification. Valid Washington State Driver’s License and automobile insurance required. Required Abilities & Skills

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents, staff, and physicians. Action- and solution-oriented with strong attention to detail. Ability to instruct parents and others involved in child care. Effective communication skills both orally and in writing. Bilingual applicants strongly encouraged. Ability to pass Washington State DSHS and FBI background checks. Health & Safety Note:
