Responsible for leading and motivating a team of NA/Corporate procurement professionals, developing and executing global non-merch procurement strategies, managing and optimizing the procure-to-pay process and travel team, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring compliance with global procurement activities. A thought leader and partner with senior management who will lead a team of professionals responsible for facilitating requirements gathering, conducting research, data analysis and supplier negotiations resulting in value and positive financial outcomes across the Company. Works closely with project teams and leads a dedicated procurement team in day-to-day activities for assigned projects and initiatives. Experience in people management, category management, analysis, sourcing, travel management and reporting are essential. Reports to the Global Head of Procurement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leading and motivating a team of procurement professionals, developing and executing global indirect procurement strategies in alignment with Ralph Lauren's business objectives and sustainability commitments, managing and optimizing the procure-to-pay process, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring compliance with global procurement activities Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and alignment with core values Lead negotiations with key suppliers to ensure the best combination of cost, quality, and reliability Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, assessing their performance, and aligning them with RL expectations, including sustainability and social responsibility standards Continuously evaluating and improving procurement processes to drive efficiency, cost savings and innovation Managing and optimizing the procure-to-pay process across multiple countries, ensuring efficiency and compliance Analyzing financial implications of each sourcing alternative and driving supplier diversity outreach initiatives Overseeing and optimizing procurement processes and systems to ensure they meet the needs of a global, rapidly evolving organization with a cost and high-quality service Leading cross-functional teams to drive major procurement projects and initiatives Monitoring and analyzing market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements Drive innovation within the procurement function by identifying and implementing new technologies and processes that improve efficiency and effectiveness Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across all aspects of the procurement function Develop best in class RL Travel Program ensuring the safety of RL travelers along with the best value and travel experience Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Requirements and Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with RL's long-term goals and objectives Demonstrated ability to manage large projects and improve procurement processes and results Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams Excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of market dynamics Experience with digital transformation projects within procurement, including the implementation of systems and advanced analytical tools Deep commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and sustainability practices Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment with stakeholders across different geographical regions Analytical, influencing, facilitating, team building, strategic thinking, solution oriented, and process-driven Knowledge of sourcing and procurement practices Strong people management skills, and ability to influence key stakeholders toward sustainable change Independent achiever & self-starter with commitment to superior quality and accuracy Strong ability to analyze and organize data Ability to execute under time sensitive deadlines and work effectively in a dynamic environment Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a decentralized organization Strong written and oral communication skills Advanced skills in preparing and delivering presentations Ability to travel domestically/ abroad as needed Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Project a plus Business Bachelor's degree, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred Minimum of 12 years of procurement experience, with at least 8 years in regional or global procurement leadership Experience in managing travel and reporting; experience in a global, multi-brand context, retail, fashion or luxury goods sector preferred Experience leading RFx events; Workday/Scout e-sourcing experience asset Professional certifications are assets (APICS, CPIM, NAPM, etc.) SAP/Ariba experience highly preferred Seniority level
