We are seeking a results-focused, innovative, self-driven Senior Production Manager to lead reactor-based production operations in a continuous-run manufacturing environment. The role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable execution of all batch processes, achieving high-quality output and on-time delivery by managing resources, optimizing workflows, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production, safety, and customer objectives. Base pay range: $106,000.00/yr - $152,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Optimize reactor operations to meet production goals by planning and managing daily reactor schedules, allocating labor and materials, and ensuring efficient process execution to deliver required volumes on time and within cost targets. Improve and maintain a safe, compliant work environment by enforcing EH&S policies, conducting safety audits, addressing hazards promptly, and ensuring compliance with chemical manufacturing regulations including OSHA PSM. Ensure consistent product quality and compliance by collaborating with Quality and R&D teams, monitoring in-process parameters, and resolving deviations to meet specifications and minimize defects. Lead and develop the Bomar production team by coaching supervisors and operators, conducting performance reviews, and fostering accountability, teamwork, and skill growth across all shifts. Drive continuous improvement within Bomar operations by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies to reduce waste, improve yield, and enhance equipment reliability for sustained performance gains. Manage maintenance coordination for reactor equipment by prioritizing work orders, aligning with engineering on repairs and upgrades, and ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are met to minimize downtime. Monitor and control departmental budgets by tracking labor, material, and maintenance costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring budget adherence without compromising safety or quality. Coordinate and align cross-functionally to support plant-wide efficiency by aligning with Supply Chain on material availability, coordinating with Engineering on process improvements, and communicating operational status to the Plant Manager. Qualifications
BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent required. 7+ years progressive experience in chemical manufacturing operations management, including 3+ years in a process engineering role; leading improvement projects preferred. Experience in continuous-run reactor environments preferred. Deep understanding of chemical process operations, unit operations, reaction kinetics, and process control systems. Proficiency in ERP systems (JDE-E1 desirable) and Microsoft Office Suite; strong knowledge of DCS/SCADA. Familiarity with OSHA 1910.119 PSM and related safety frameworks (HAZOP, LOPA, MOC). Understanding of maintenance and reliability practices for process equipment. Ability to work in a chemical plant environment with PPE; occasional off-hours presence for continuous operational support. Proven ability to lead small-to-moderate teams in a high-hazard production environment; strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure; effective cross-functional communicator. Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM experience preferred. Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $106,000 - $152,000.
