Overview
The Senior Director of Continuous Improvement will lead large-scale transformation programs and root cause analysis efforts to drive corrective and preventive actions across the organization. This role is responsible for delivering measurable performance gains in cost, quality, safety, and reliability. The position will develop and sustain continuous improvement strategies aligned with company objectives, emphasizing operational readiness, defect elimination, and process digitization. Serving as a change agent, the Senior Director will collaborate with operations, engineering, safety, project execution, and other cross-functional teams to embed best practices and deliver sustainable value through process excellence. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry expertise. 10+ years of experience in operations, quality, or continuous improvement within energy, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. Proven track record of leading major improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes. Experience with large-scale industrial construction, commissioning, or operations preferred. Familiarity with RCA/CAPA tools and systems. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred. Strong skills in process mapping, performance management, and digital tools. Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across functions. Results-driven mindset with a focus on accountability and follow-through. Key Responsibilities
Define the scope, objectives, and success criteria for assigned improvement initiatives. Develop and execute strategic roadmaps to achieve measurable performance, cost, and quality improvements. Align initiatives with organizational strategy and quality standards. Promote a culture of accountability and problem-solving through world-class root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes. Partner with internal teams and external vendors to drive improvement efforts. Facilitate training and adoption of tools, processes, and cultural practices to enhance business outcomes. Monitor and improve cost of quality (COQ) across the organization. Operational Excellence
Lead workshops and Kaizen events to optimize processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve workflows. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies to accelerate results. Collaborate with digital and IT teams to deploy analytics, dashboards, and automated workflows. Performance Measurement
Establish and track key metrics to monitor initiative progress against baselines. Provide leadership with updates on performance, risks, and corrective measures. Quantify and realize financial and operational benefits of improvement initiatives. Change Management & Capability Building
Mentor cross-functional teams on continuous improvement methodologies and cultural adoption. Build and support a network of change champions across departments. Document lessons learned and replicate successful practices throughout the organization. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
On-time delivery of initiative milestones and scope. Percentage reduction in operational defects and rework. Operational cost savings and measurable business performance improvements. Adoption rate of new processes, tools, or systems. Sustainable improvements replicated across multiple business units.
