Overview
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Senior Director – Initiative is responsible for leading major transformation projects or programs and root cause analysis driving corrective and preventive actions within Venture Global LNG, delivering measurable performance improvements across cost, quality, safety, and reliability. This role focuses on designing, executing, and sustaining a continuous improvement initiative that aligns with corporate strategy, with emphasis on digitization, operational readiness, and defect elimination. This position can be assigned to Houston, TX; Arlington, VA; Cameron, LA; or Point Celeste, LA. You will be a change agent working to improve quality across Venture Global. The CI Leader will partner with operations, engineering, HSSE, project execution, and other functional teams to ensure adoption of best practices and deliver sustainable value through process excellence. Key Responsibilities
Initiative Leadership: Define scope, objectives, and success measures for the assigned CI initiative. Develop and execute a roadmap to deliver measurable improvements in performance, cost, and quality. Ensure initiative alignment with corporate strategy and Quality best practices. Drive and sustain world-class RCA/CAPA and build a culture of accountability and problem solving across the business. Work internally and externally to drive improvements across Venture Global and the vendor base. Demonstrate commercial leadership acumen balanced with technical knowledge to lead corrective action discussions. Introduce and train on the right culture, tools and processes to elevate business outcomes. Measure and improve cost of quality (COQ) across Venture Global. Operational Excellence: Lead workshops and Kaizen events to map processes, eliminate waste, and drive efficiency. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methods to accelerate results. Partner with digital/IT teams to deploy analytics, dashboards, and digitized workflows. Performance Measurement: Establish key metrics for initiative success and track progress against baselines. Provide regular updates to senior leadership with insights, risks, and corrective actions. Ensure financial and operational benefits are quantified and realized. Change Management & Capability Building: Coach cross-functional teams on CI tools, methodologies, and cultural adoption. Build change champions across departments to embed improvements sustainably. Document lessons learned and replicate best practices across other initiatives. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, or related field; or equivalent industry experience. 10+ years in operations, quality, or continuous improvement roles in LNG, oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors. Demonstrated success leading major improvement initiatives with measurable results. Experience with LNG construction, commissioning, or operations is highly desirable. Proficiency in RCA/CAPA tools (e.g., Gensuite, Taproot) and digital tools, dashboards, and project management platforms. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred. Strong skills in process mapping, RCA, and performance management systems. Collaborative leader with ability to influence across functions and strong executive communication. Results-driven mindset with accountability and follow-through. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of initiative milestones and deliverables on time and within scope. Percentage reduction in operational defects and rework. Operational expenditure savings and EBITDA uplift attributed to the initiative. Adoption rate of new processes, tools, or systems. Sustained improvements replicated across other business units.
