Applied Digital is seeking a

Tax Manager

to oversee the company’s corporate, partnership, and sales tax compliance while supporting the tax provision process and related reporting. This role will manage compliance activities across federal, state, and local levels, serve as a primary point of contact for third-party advisors and auditors, and ensure accurate reporting in accordance with US GAAP and ASC 740. The Tax Manager will work cross-functionally with finance, accounting, legal, and operations teams, providing both technical expertise and practical oversight to ensure Applied Digital meets its regulatory and financial reporting obligations. While initially an individual contributor role, this position is expected to evolve to include mentorship, leadership of junior staff, and oversight of projects and workflows as the tax function grows. Key Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of corporate and partnership taxes at the federal and state level. Act as a primary point of contact for external tax advisors, auditors, and internal stakeholders during audits, provision reviews, and compliance projects. Collaborate with legal, finance, accounting, and operations to resolve issues in the tax return preparation and review process. Manage monthly sales tax compliance with support from external tax advisors. Review quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision process, with preparation support from external tax advisors. Facilitate the preparation and review of annual property tax renditions and protests, as applicable, with support from external tax advisors. Support the preparation of tax items in US GAAP financial statements, including tax provisions, tax-related balance sheet accounts, and tax-related footnote disclosures. Maintain accurate tracking of sales tax exemption data and prepare annual exemption compliance reporting. Provide guidance on evolving tax regulations, potential impacts, and recommended process adjustments. Support the development of standardized processes, policies, and documentation to enable future team expansion and scalability. Required Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or corporate tax function focusing on US corporate and partnership tax compliance and ASC 740 income tax provision. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong technical knowledge of US tax laws and regulations. Experience working with third-party advisors, including tax consultants and auditors, and managing relationships with external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across internal and external teams. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Taxation or a relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA). Experience with operating partnership and/or REIT compliance. Hands-on experience with ASC 740 tax provisions and related reporting. Familiarity with property tax compliance and appeals. Exposure to leadership responsibilities, such as mentoring junior staff or coordinating tax projects, with interest in growing into a team leadership role. Ability to effectively communicate tax concepts to financial and non-financial stakeholders. Collaboration: Works closely with cross-functional teams and external advisors to resolve issues efficiently. Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in compliance filings, tax provision reporting, and financial disclosures. Analytical Thinking: Applies structured problem-solving to tax compliance and reporting challenges. Time Management: Manages multiple priorities, filings, and reporting deadlines with accuracy and efficiency. Leadership Potential: Demonstrates initiative and the ability to grow into a leadership role by coaching or guiding junior team members as the tax function expands. Professionalism: Maintains high ethical standards and confidentiality in all financial matters. Physical Requirements

Able to remain in a seated position for an extended period and to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. (office manuals, case notebooks, case files, case materials, standard boxes, report binders, etc.) as needed. Working Conditions by Location

We operate 24-hour facilities. Work hours (shifts) are assigned as necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions, ensure compliance, and support efficient company operations.
