Overview
We are an entertainment client seeking a
Senior Staff Accountant
to manage day-to-day accounting activity and ensure accurate financial reporting across the organization. This role supports all aspects of the accounting cycle, from transactional processing through month-end close, while partnering with leadership on budgets, audits, and compliance matters.
This position is onsite daily in San Francisco for training, and then will be a hybrid schedule.
Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Process and review payables, receivables, payroll, reconciliations, and journal entries
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
Maintain accurate schedules for revenue, expenses, payroll allocations, assets, and investments
Support year-end close, audits, and tax filings, ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency with financial systems
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)
5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel; experience with additional financial systems a plus
Strong knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, and audit preparation
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
